
On 28 May 2017, Amnesty International Philippines launched the first ever human rights awards in the country, the Ignite Awards for Human Rights, with the aim of recognizing human rights defenders who brought about impact through their work by changing peoples lives. Ignite Awards also serves as a tool in transforming the perception of Filipinos on human rights by showing that even ordinary people can do extraordinary work.
As a way to give back to the selfless people exerting unyielding efforts so that everyone can enjoy all human rights for all, Amnesty International Philippines enjoins you to help us seek out human rights defenders whose contributions to the advancement of human rights in the Philippines have resulted to immensely improved lives of those who will otherwise be marginalized or oppressed.
