#KwentongTibak: Jepie, Rocky, & Badhong

Thriving Amnesty leaders in their each chosen paths on organizational development, Jepie, Rocky, and Badhong share their vision of a truly integrated Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) framework for human rights and development work. Listen to their experiences as managers who are members of the LGBTI community celebrating Pride in the workplace.

Jepie Papa

Jepie is the Acting Director of Amnesty International Philippines and Manager for the Operations Support Services Department. She previously handled programs for the youth, human rights education, and membership development in her early years with Amnesty Philippines before taking on organizational development and operations management.

She joined Amnesty as a student activist in UP Diliman. She was used to joining Pride marches that’s jeered not cheered at. Jepie believes that cycling, poetry, loving dogs (or any pet!), connecting with nature, art, eating your veggies and kindness are acts of resistance in a world being hijacked of its humanity.

She also served as board member of ASEAN SOGIE Caucus from November 2019 to March 2023.

Rocky Rinabor

Rocky is a human rights activist with 16 years of experience in human rights education and advocacy. He has a solid background in leadership, governance, and organizational development, enhanced by three years of legal studies and policy development and analysis expertise. With an interest in Gender and Development, as well as Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ), he has dedicated nine years of
work to these areas.

Currently, he is the Executive Director of the Pioneer Filipino Transgender Men Movement, where he promotes the rights of transgender and gender-diverse communities. He also works as a consultant for the HIV community-led monitoring program. Through his work, he strives to contribute to building compassionate and accountable communities rooted in a deep understanding of diverse lived experiences.

Badhong Lorenzana

Badhong has been a member-volunteer in Amnesty International Philippines for almost two decades. He has been in the Board of Trustees since 2021, and is currently the Treasurer. For his full time job, he works in financial services as a consultant and has been in the corporate world for more than 10 years. He is a UP Diliman Alumnus, who loves to travel during his free time.
