INTRODUCTION

Amnesty International Philippines respects your right to privacy, please read this policy carefully to understand how we collect, use and process your personal data.

On events of data collection, individuals are asked for consent in an appropriate custom regarding their personal information as right to privacy is observed whenever we collect personal data.

INFORMATION COLLECTION

We do not collect personal information unless you choose to provide it. For example, where you express an interest in joining or donating to Amnesty International Philippines, sign a petition or email action or subscribe to our email updates. If you apply for a job, internship or volunteer role at Amnesty International Philippines we will collect information so that we can process your application and assess your suitability for the role.

The following personal information, with consent, are collected from individuals when they choose to provide it through the options stated above:

  1. Name (we entertain aliases)
  2. Age and/or Date of Birth
  3. Sex
  4. Sectoral Identities (LGBTQIA++, IP identity, etc.)
  5. Contact Information (mobile, landline, e-mail address, etc.)
  6. Mailing Address or Geographical Trace (Home Barangay, Organization or Company/School affiliation, IP Geolocation)

USE OF INFORMATION

Your personal information will be retained by Amnesty International Philippines and its service providers in a secure environment, will be kept confidential, and will only be used in connection with the purposes for which it is submitted, or as otherwise explained on the Amnesty International Philippines Website, or as necessary for us to comply with our legal obligations. For example, personal information submitted for the purposes of making a donation will be used to process that donation and personal information submitted with an expression of interest in joining Amnesty International Philippines will be used to act on your expression of interest in joining Amnesty International Philippines and provide you with information about Amnesty International Philippines.

USE OF COOKIES

Amnesty International uses cookies for the following purposes:

  • To compile statistical data on the use of our website and its functioning, so that we can monitor and improve it;
  • To facilitate users’ ability to navigate through our website, including to allow registered users to access secure parts of our website; and
  • To allow us to share our web pages via social media platforms.

ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Your data is yours and you have the right to know what we do with them, to change them whenever you want and to ask us to delete them or in some circumstances, to object to our processing of your information, under the data privacy act. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

Amnesty International Philippines, from time to time, may make changes to this Policy. When permissible, we will let you know through other means of communication. However, any modification is effective immediately upon posting on this website.

Privacy Notice for AIPh Membership Forms –

The personal information you provide to Amnesty International Philippines will be used to process your membership application and update you of membership related matters. To change your information, delete them or any information processing concern, please contact the Data Privacy Officer.
