BECOME AN AIPh VIP!
Amnesty International Philippines accepts students (local and
foreign), NGO workers, professionals and individuals who are
interested in doing internship and volunteer work for the institution.
AIPh Volunteer and Internship Program (VIP) is one of the
organization’s approaches to enable members and interested individuals to
develop their proficiency and skills in human rights work by:
- Providing
an avenue for hands on training in human rights work, and;
- Promoting
expertise sharing between AIPh staff, volunteer-interns, and other
partners.
This program is also designed to aid the organization in its
mission to prevent and end grave abuses of the rights to physical and mental
integrity, freedom of conscience and expression, and freedom from
discrimination by:
- Developing
the necessary skills of individuals and groups for human rights work, and;
- Encouraging
individuals and groups to take up human rights work as part of their
regular undertakings.
Depending on their areas of interests, capabilities and
agreements set forth by AIPh, interested parties can apply for internship and
volunteer posts under the regular programs and special projects being
implemented by the organization.
The duration of the internship and volunteer work will
depend on the agreements set by the institution and the interested party.
This will also determine the range and nature of the activities/workload that
will be assigned to them.
